From a family of restaurateurs, Alex Dana was born with the business in his blood. He worked after school for his family, then later around Chicago where he honed his craft of outstanding service. He served as a waiter at the five-star Drake Hotel and was the manager of Chicago's legendary Miller's Pub.

FROM 1973 TO TODAY: A LONG, PROSPEROUS JOURNEY
1973 was the year that Alex Dana opened his first restaurant, Picadilly, in Chicago's Loop but 1975 was THE year that the Rosebud legacy began with the birth of the Rosebud Café in Chicago's Little Italy. And, the rest, as they say…is history. Today Mr. Dana oversees a staff of over 500. With a reputation as Chicago's foremost maestro of hospitality, he is often seen with stars and locals alike.
